TPP Deal Reached. Time to Move to Europe

Well, a deal got reached. The Super Rich & Powerful© people have agreed on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

“So what.” So what? So, what is the TPP?

“Who knows?” The TPP has got to be one of the hottest debates over which no one really knows what they’re talking about. The actual TPP text is a secret and will be for several more weeks. The heads of those dozen countries and CEOs of many corporations are debating about it. The rest of us schmoes only hear it’s really bad for the workers and fantastic for the companies. But do we really know anything? No. Just that it’s “bad”™ , for all that’s worth.

Well, I say, if it’s so bad, and you’re so mad, then do something about it.

An American who likes to move around. I now live on the eastern Canadian seaboard. My job? A stay-at-home dad for two cute but demanding bosses. My wife? Also cute; not so demanding. My wife and I both love travel. We met in South Korea, travelled across Australia, India, Europe and beyond. We lived in Czech Republic for four years. Many stories to tell and experience to share. If you let me, I will help you travel as we do. Enjoy.

  1. Hi Jeff, I saw your comment about driving here and im going through the same issue. Could you tell me the driving school you used so I don’t have to do 20 hours of class as well?
my number is ********* (edited out by Jeff)
    tks a lot!

    1. Hi Cate,

I replied to your e-mail straight away. Then saw your comment regarding this post:

For anyone else, here’s my reply:

Thank you for your note. I hope I can help. Unfortunately, I’ve lost track of the school name, but I can give directions. (It’s been over 5 years, so I cannot guarantee they’re even in business.)
I’m assuming you’re local. As for directions, it’s in Žižkov (praha 3), very near the Jiřího z Poděbrad metro stop (& park). You leave the metro stop and walk away from Vinohradska street, maybe 1 or two blocks. The driving school was on the intersection, with a bright yellow sign.

Again, I can’t confirm the school is still there since I now live in Canada. I do note a comment in 2014 that a guy named Eric wasn’t able to find it and he lives in that area. Sorry this isn’t great news. Then again, my success wasn’t dependant on that exact school, but rather on working it out with the manager and securing a “good” translator. Good luck Caterine!
